Some updates.

I have sold my old apartment, and I am now going to finalize all about the loans. Selling the space where you have lived for a decade and a half is not exactly easy!

I got that very resolutely demonstrated today. I’m cleaning out the attic. I could not believe all the stuff I had piled up there?! Why on earth did I save those boxes and trash of all kinds? I still have more stuff up there than what I have in my apartment!

I have had some diversion though - Yet again I visited Hyderabad in India. This time an improvement in the traffic was noticeable in many places. Still, the usual apparent chaos prevails, but in some places where traffic was slow, the roads now allow for a more smooth flow.

Warm as usual. It is getting close to the really hot season that takes place in May. Surprisingly, it rained heavily several times during the days, with quite a lot of thunder.

Had I had more time it would have been interesting to find out more about the increasing tensions between muslims and other groups in Hyderabad. Now the general advice was not to travel to the Charminar part of the city. Just some days before, President Bush visited Hyderabad for four hours. Fortunately that was just before my visit, so no hassle with security forces. The bombing in the Uttar Pradesh city of Varanasi took place during my visit though. Truly horrifying! Yet, it all seemed so far away as if I had been in Europe.

The actual sale of my apartment took place while I was away. I had a proxy signing the contract for me. What a relief it will be when I can start moving out of this small apartment, and into the new one! I have not solved the Internet connection issue yet, so I’ll probably be disconnected from an efficient Internet access for some weeks to come.
