Three days ago, my broadband connection started to work in my new apartment.

That is two and a half months since I moved in. For technical reasons, I had to move my fixed telephone subscription before a connection was possible. That was two months before the broadband connection was opened. We are still in the childhood of broadband internet.

Paying my bills from work was possible, as well as reaching some of the most essential internet based services. It was reassuring to show that it is possible to live without the internet at home, but also scary, since so much of important everyday services are internet based.

Blogging is of course something not to be done from work. I am looking forward to be able to log on with an idea and just write it down.

But now it is Midsummer! (Well, not really, but I do not care as much as Göran Skytte.)
