And here the old name of certain yummy sweets (made by butter, cocoa, sugar, and oat grains, and rolled in coconut flakes) is the cause of frowns, sighs, and condemnation.

The problem with political correctness is that it eventually always becomes extreme and tends to take the place of sound judgement. Also, it leaves no room for humour.
